Practical information
  • The silicon photonics summer school lectures are held at level 2 of the centenary building (100). level 2 is at the ground floor when entering through the main entrance.
  • Reception and breaks are held at level 4 of the centenary building.
  • Lunch is held at the piazza of the student union building (42) at a 5-minute walk from the centenary building.
  • On Tuesday we visit Stonehenge. We leave from the bus interchange at 8 am. Make sure to be on time and bring appropriate footwear and clothes.

You can get to campus from the city center by using the Unilink bus service:

The buses below stop at Highfield Interchange, which is the University bus stop (marked in red on the Campus Map.

Advice: To travel from the city centre, use the U1A from Town Quay, West Quay, and the Civic Centre.

To travel from Southampton Central Train Station, use the U2 or U2B. Just make sure you do not get off at Avenue Campus!
