Given the fact that many players in the integrated photonics industry struggle to fill up vacancies and that many of the ECIO attendees are PhD-students, the exhibition session and panel discussion will focus on career development: what opportunities are there for graduates moving to industry?; what does a career in photonics entail? The event will be moderated by Roel Baets (ePIXfab) and Kevin Williams (JePPIX).

Schedule
  • 17:30 – 18:30 PM | Opening of the exhibition session (Room: WA-2)

This session will include short career-oriented pitches by the exhibitors of ECIO 2023. The session will also include short 1-minute  recorded messages of luminaries of photonic integration.

  • 18:30 – 19:30 PM | Panel Discussion (Room: WA-2)

the discussion in the panel discussion is about career-related subjects. The format for the panel discussion will be interactive, with the moderators asking questions to both the panel members and the audience.

  • 18:30 – 19:30 PM | Reception and Dinner
